These Boots Are Made For Walking: Part I

Who does not love a great boot?! I was immediately drawn to these boots because they were over-the-knee, pointy toe, suede, and my favorite--the lace-up detailing in the back.

For winter and fall styling I believe you should always invest in nice coats and jackets (layering pieces), boots, and accessories--hats, gloves, and scarves. Because I do not mind spending on quality boots, I was not bothered by the $220 price tag. HOWEVER, I love a good bargain and I am very familiar with the price and sale structure of the store I was shopping; Aldo.

Aldo marks ALL their shoes on sale. It is usually within a month maybe two. For that reason, I rarely pay full price for their shoes. Nothing more upsetting than to pay full price for a shoe and the following week it is 30% off.

I stalked, and stalked, and stalked some more. These boots would not go on sale! But one thing I will never do is give up! Almost a year after I initially saw these boots they were still in store at full price. One glorious spring afternoon last year I got an email from Aldo advertising a boot sale. To my surprise, these boots were on sale for $65!! My God is an awesome God! That is nearly 70% off...she won!

These boots fit perfectly over my chunky calves and the quality is amazing! They are worth every penny of the original price tag. My only regret when purchasing is that I did not also get them in black.
