FALL TINGS
Gang gang! I been gone for a minute now I’m back with the jump off! 2020 has been a whirlwind to say the least! Hope you all are weathering the storm. I can’t believe we are in October and this is my first blog post. To say I miss blogging is an understatement. Despite all the mayhem and malarky of 2020, it’s been a great year! On January 11, 2020 I launched Emmie Elizabeth an E-shop where you can find accessoriEEs you’ll love! It has truly been a passion project that has evolved throughout the years. I plan to dedicate a separate blog post delving deeper into this evolution. Other than working on my business, I have been busy with working from home, trying to maintain a peace of mind, and adjusting to our new normal. There was no way I was going to let the fall season pass without a post. So here I am!
This past weekend my Mom and I traveled to Churchville, MD to Lohr’s Orchards for a fun day of pumpkin and apple picking. I was by far the most overly dressed person in the patch, but I refuse to let the season go by without serving a look or two! I miss getting dressed and will be taking every opportunity to do so even if it ends up being a swanky trip to Trader Joe’s.
Going to the farm to gather pumpkins, hay stacks, and cornstalks has been a family tradition that I love. Let’s not talk about the fresh apple cider and apple cider donuts! Btw, comment below if you’ve gained the quarantine fifteen. Lol. Lohr’s Orchard didn’t have apple cider donuts but they did have a large assortment of apple trees and delicious apple cider slushies.
I got 2 medium-sized pumpkins that I plan to paint or spray-paint and just a few apples. I didn’t over indulge in the apples because I can’t eat them raw. The acidity does something weird to my lips and mouth. However, I do like to eat them cooked. One of my favorite fall breakfasts is homemade oatmeal with cinnamon apples. It is so warm, gooey, and yummy. This cinnamon apples recipe from my bestie Lonnie Woods III is my favorite! Speaking of Lonnie, he just launched a super cool vintage store called The Shop that offers one of kind pieces just like you! Check it out!
Let’s get into the outfit. I had been doing so good with not shopping and spending during quarantine because like where are we going?! Then September happened. I justified buying a few things as birthday treats but the treats have yet to cease. Do you guys want to see what things I purchased for my birthday? I’m waiting for a couple more packages before I can show you all my goodies my goodies not my goodies.
