HOW TO ACHIEVE BAD B*TCH CONFIDENCE
Hey girl hey! So I turned 35 in September and wow, what a glorious occasion it was! LOL. I realized I am the most confident and secure I have ever been. Do I still embody insecurities? Of course! However, I don’t let them own and consume me. Getting to this point has been a journey and I thought I would share some tips on how to master inner and outer bad b*tch confidence. Start by journaling the following:
What do you love about yourself?
What things do you want to improve upon?
What kind of woman do you envision yourself as? How does she look? How does she speak? What are her goals? Identify what’s stopping you from being her and why?
Once you’ve composed this list start a new list on what actionable items you are going to do to become the woman you envision in bullet 3.
It is crucial to believe that God created you and accepted you exactly the way you are. Life it too short not to own your greatness. You were born with gifts and talents that are meant to prepare you for what you desire and deserve.
I started this ongoing process in 2016 by focusing on internal healing through reiki, meditation, therapy, and yoga.
This year I focused on physical things such as weight loss and dental hygiene. I knew that I wanted to live a more fit and healthier lifestyle and to smile brilliantly while doing so. I set these goals in the last quarter of 2018 so that I could go into 2019 with a plan. I set a schedule for exercising and meal planning. I also allocated funds in my flexible spending account for dental hygiene.
I lost 15 pounds through meal planning and exercise. I have probably gained it back because…SNACKS! LOL. However, I know the discipline it takes to sustain results. It is an amazing feeling to look and feel good internally and externally. Cooking delicious food is imperative when trying to eat healthier. Variety is key so that you don’t get bored and discouraged. Some of my favorite resources for healthy flavorful recipes are Fit Men Cook, Skinny Taste, and Pinterest. I would recommend purchasing the Fit Men Cook app. Kevin Curry’s recipes are amazing and he offers a variety of options that includes keto, vegan, low-carb, and pescatarian diets. You can not beat the one-time price of $2.99 for over 300 recipes. You guys his Bulgogi Quesadilla recipe is to die for.
I hate working out. It is something I do not enjoy. However, once I start releasing the feel good endorphins and seeing results; the motivation kicks in! Some things that boost my desire are cute workout clothes, a bomb playlist, and my Apple watch. I am a very competitive person and crushing my goals on my watch makes me feel accomplished. There are several options for fit watches that will monitor your exercise, calories, and even allow you to compete with friends and family. Workout gear can get pricey but Target and Old Navy have really cute and affordable options. I want all of these sets from Old Navy.
